Well if Windows Update will take care of updating Internet Explorer 11 for me Then why when I go to Internet Explorer home page and click on settings and then click on about Internet Explorer It shows the version I have Version11.332.15063.0 and then right under that it shows updated versions: 11.0.42: (KB4018271) Product ID: 0-00003-AA459 The (KB4018271) is highlighted in blue but when I click on it a box pops up and says Google Chrome is unresponsive do you want to restart it now or close? For the 'Google Chrome is unresponsive' issue - this is.nothing.
I did the windows update for Internet Explorer 10. I believe I was running IE8. It successfully updated and restarted but there is no difference and when I look to.
related to IE11, it's because you have (or previously had) Google Chrome installed as your default web browser. And when you click the blue hyperlink, your computer is trying to launch Google Chrome to show you the webpage of that hyperlink. Do you still have Google Chrome installed? Do you have problems using Google Chrome?

Don doesn't work for MSFT, and they're probably glad about that;. It states that I am using Version:11.332.15063 not the updated version which is Version: 11.0.42 (KB4018271) isn't there a stand alone update for Internet Explorer 11?

Since your IE11 version shows as: 11.332.15063, this denotes that you are using Win10 v1703 (15063 denotes V1703 of Win10).
